First we complete a needs assessment.  We review data, technology, attitudes, circumstances, and resources.  From this we develop a written report that delineates the needs, recommended resources, costs, and time requirements.  This document can be used as a master training plan for the customer.  Often customers use this report to formulate their bid specifications for the training effort.

Next we customize design the training project.  This includes a delineation of the course content, required training materials, instructional requirements, equipment needs, and training logistics.  A critical key factor in this phase is the identification of the training provider.  The Calumet Group searches out the best and most cost effective delivery resource.  This could include using our in house resources, equipment vendors, internal customer resources, local community colleges, other training vendors or individual consultants.  We firmly believe that we serve our customer best when we put together the right combination of resources.  The design and recommendations are reviewed by the customer and after any necessary adjustments, approved for development.

In the development phase of the project all training manuals are prepared, specific training materials generated, instructor preparation completed, and arrangements for logistical needs made.  All arangements are made with the training providers, schedules developed, and tracking systems put in place.

Prior to the delivery of the training effort The Calumet Group places a coordinator on site to oversee and coordinate all of the training activities.  All training materials are collected and catalogued; training is tracked and recorded, and general oversight services provided.

At the completion of the training delivery, The Calumet Group organizes all of the training materials including manuals, handouts, lesson plans, videotapes, and other materials into a training materials resource library.  A final report with all statistics, historical data, contact information and catalogue for resource library is prepared and submitted to the customer.
